Holocaust Memorial Tree vandalised

I know that many people in Salisbury will be saddened to find out that the Holocaust Memorial Tree in Churchill Gardens has twice been vandalised in recent weeks.

Extra Government funding to tackle Rough Sleeping

Over the weekend, I was pleased to see the government announce an immediate £30m boost to help get more rough sleepers into temporary accommodation. This will pay for an additional 1,750 bed spaces for rough sleepers and 531 more dedicated homelessness workers across the country.

Back the Recovery Space campaign

It is Mental Health Awareness Week – a great opportunity to raise the profile of mental health problems and make sure that people are aware of the support that is out there.

'Les Colombes' Origami Doves Display

Walking around Salisbury, you may have noticed window displays of origami doves in some of the shops. Tomorrow (12 May), a new art installation will open to the public in Salisbury Cathedral.

Constituency Engagements

It’s been an extremely productive day in and around Salisbury and I’ve packed in a large number of engagements. It’s such a privilege to represent a constituency where there is so much going on and so many excellent businesses and local organisations to meet with. 

English Tourism Week - Visit Salisbury!

It’s English Tourism Week and I have been out and about all day in Salisbury, meeting with local businesses, retailers and attractions. Salisbury is one of England’s finest cathedral cities, and there is so much for local people and tourists alike to enjoy.

The Attack on Sergei Skripal

After spending the weekend in Salisbury, I was back in the House of Commons this afternoon where I was next to the Prime Minister as she delivered a statement on the attack on Sergei Skripal. I was very pleased with her strong condemnation of the incident.
