Yesterday I met with Dogs Trust to discuss important issues relating to puppy smuggling and animal cruelty. I am glad that this government is supporting measures to ensure the highest standards in importation and the greatest welfare for dogs across the UK.
Yesterday I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust (UK)'s 'Book of Commitment' in the lead up to Holocaust Memorial Day. As we come to mark 75 years since the liberation of the concentration camps, antisemitism remains a scourge on our society.
